HOW YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

While many are familiar with our mission to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer, some might wonder how their purchase at loveyourmelon.com directly impacts these children and supports the fight against pediatric cancer.

Fifty percent of profit from the sale of Love Your Melon products is given to our nonprofit partners who work in the field of pediatric oncology, fund cancer research initiatives and provide immediate support for families of children battling cancer. This means whenever you make a purchase at loveyourmelon.com, you are contributing to these nonprofit partners as they work to improve children's lives!

Last week, you helped us generate $1 million during our 'Melon Madness' promotion in a six-day period surrounding Cyber Monday. We are so thankful for your overwhelming support, and we decided very carefully where to allocate those funds for maximum impact on the fight against pediatric cancer. Take a look at some highlights of our new and existing nonprofit partners for a glimpse into your incredible impact!

$100,000 will go to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital to fund Dr. Moertel's research on a promising brain cancer drug therapy. Dr. Moertel's research focuses on methods that can greatly enhance the effectiveness of brain tumor drug treatments and prevent the return of tumors. This research could have a widespread impact on children receiving treatments for brain cancer.

$50,000 will go to PAB'S PACKS, an organization dedicated to giving packs filled with comfort items to children and teens in the hospital. Last year, we were able to fund 500 packs. Our continued partnership this year will fund over 1,000 new packs for children in the hospital in hopes that each pack and visit will create a smile during a difficult time.

$150,000 will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. $100,000 of these funds will support the POST Grant program, a summer program pairing students with a pediatric oncology researcher. We are also giving $50,000 to fund Dr. Lin, a researcher working on innovative neuroblastoma research.

$50,000 will go to Chef Lucas Food, an organization that provides meal kits for families undergoing pediatric cancer treatment. The founder, Lucas, a cancer survivor himself, was inspired by those who provided his family meals during his treatment, so he decided to do the same for other families. Our partnership will help to provide meal kits for families battling pediatric cancer in hopes that a nutritious meal can provide positive benefits including smiles and time as a family.

$10,000 will go to Momcology, an organization dedicated to empowering and healing pediatric cancer families through the resource of peer support for parents and caregivers of children battling cancer. Our partnership will provide restorative and practical gifts for families during the year and holiday season, helping to ease the isolation and stress that comes with a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
