ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation has evolved into a national fundraising movement with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.

Love Your Melon is proud to partner with ALSF because we share a dedication to supporting top-notch pediatric cancer research. We are supporting ALSF with $110,000 given toward research programs in 2017.

$50,000 of this partnership will go directly to the Young Investigator Program to fund a promising young scientist who is working to make a difference by finding better cancer treatments.

$60,000 is dedicated to funding 12 POST grants, which means we are directly supporting 12 students as they experience hands-on pediatric oncology research in the summer of 2017. Stay tuned to learn more about these POST grant recipients!
