Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is dedicated to supporting children and their families by providing them with housing, compassionate care and resources during their medical treatment. Often, families have to travel long distances for the best treatment, causing strain on transportation, work routines, cooking meals and other aspects of everyday life. RMHC helps families cope better and focus on the needs of their child because they have support from family members and other families.

RMHC provides more than 1.4 million overnight stays each year, helping families save nearly over $443 million in lodging and meal expenses. "We believe when families are together, they cope better. We believe no family should have to deal with their child's medical crisis alone."

In past years, Love Your Melon has supported RMHC with a total of $163,209, which helped provide year-round service days at Ronald McDonald House programs across the country with Love Your Melon Campus Crew members. These service days consisted of cooking and serving meals, providing beanies, and hosting special events for children and their families.

In 2020, we gave the Ronald McDonald House Charities $10,00 to support the RMHC Meal Program–ensuring families have access to food and meals while their children are in the hospital.
